HEAD COACH- Gerald Mathews

Coach Gerald Mathew’s dream is to create Wimbledon champions. He students not only respect him as a coach, but also as a trustworthy and pleasurable mentor. He takes personal interest in each of his students to ensure that they receive a challenging and rewarding experience towards success.

Being the son to a Yale men’s basketball alumna, Gerald was groomed to be an elite athlete himself. He’s been inspired to achieve greatness, having tried other sports such as soccer, basketball and baseball, but wasn’t until he joined his high school tennis team hat he knew he would create waves.

During college, Gerald met Grant Doyle (former top 100 pro tennis player; CEO of Advantage Doyle Tennis) and was inspired to pursue tennis as a pro player himself. He played around the country and even spent a year in the Czech Republic. Gerald eventually moved to Los Angeles to work along side Grant and began helping other young tennis players achieve their own dreams of success.

Since the rise of Team G, Coach Gerald has continued to cultivate and inspire up-and-coming tennis athletes.
